‘Despertar: Chile’ Compilation Seeks to Raise Awareness of Humans Rights Violations in Chile

By 11 November, 2019

After more than 20 days of protests in Chile, we are counting up the damage. While some media are still focusing on the material costs, there are others that are worried about the extreme violence applied by the police while repressing the manifestations.

On that issue, electronic music artists from Chile, with some international guests, have put together a 51-track compilation to raise awareness and help human rights organizations address the issue.

Despertar: Chile was created by NGLY, Tomás Urquieta, VNZO, DJ Raff, Valesuchi and graphic artist 1989, who is in charge of the art, and mastered by Elias Deepman. The project includes tracks by Chilean producers like Daniel Klauser, Fantasna, Maxicat, Serial Tila and those mentioned above mentioned, alongside fellow South American producers Badsista, Dany F, Nicola Cruz and Lechuga Zafiro.
