Matraca and Kriolla Release Compilation of Electronic Peruvian Music as Cure for Isolation

By 23 April, 2020

Recent times have brought profound thoughts towards our ways of living, exacerbated by the worldwide situation of being stuck in various levels of quarantine, with mass events firmly out of the picture. Isolation has been hard for many, with digital communication and entertainment being used as a vital way of staying in touch.

With this in mind, Peruvian collective and netlabel Matraca have joined forces with media platform Kriolla, to put a bunch of local producers on a compilation delivered straight to our ears, keeping the parties happening, at least digitally. This was topped with a release party last weekend, hosted on a Habbo Hotel pixel-made virtual space and streamed through Twitch.

The album, La Cura: Compilado Antiviral, includes music by Dr.100, Fer Lerant & Lukrø, Milkshk, Orieta Chrem, Shushupe, Tribilin Sound, Qechuaboi, Vudufa and Youk.
