Free Download – El Sueño de La Casa Propia’s ‘Doble Ola EP’
14 May, 2013On the small but throbbing electro scene in Chile, one of the main names is El Sueño de La Casa Propia, aka José Cerda. Originally from the port of Valparaíso, a city renowned for its art, music, and Pacific idealism, ESDLCP made his name on the Santiago underground, where the big city pace and more modern approach are more suited to programmed beats and tech-fuelled innovation. It is a sound that cuts up various musical elements over dubby house or whirly trip hop to create an enticing fusion of sampling and musicianship.
El Sueño de La Casa Propia debuted in 2011 with ‘Historial de Caídas’, and recently followed that up with the ‘Doble Ola EP’. This new slice of contemporary dance music blends fluidity and functionalism, with fluttering piano or melodic flute loops interwoven over the constant movement of its elctro-roots, and is available here as a free download. This is a great little EP to get your experimental teeth around.
