Ondatropica Need Your Help For Latest Album!

By 05 July, 2015

Ondatropica, the Colombian music supergroup set-up by Mario Galeano (Frente Cumbiero) and Will “Quantic” Holland are currently planning their second album and need your help.

After blowing everyone away, us included, with their self-titled debut (read our review here) Ondatropica are ready to hit the world again. Whereas the group recorded in the historic Discos Fuentes studio in Medellín for their first album, this latest will see them go to the island of Providencia (an English-speaking area of the Colombian Caribbean) and record in their home of Bogotá, where they will undoubtedly be working with some of the titans of Colombian music, past and present. Always trying to fuse modern recording methods with the heritage and multiple musical styles of Colombia they describe their aim as being “a crossroads and to allow for intimate encounters between creative musicians from different walks of life, be it from a small island or a big city.”

Here’s a little taster of what they did last time:

To make Ondatropica Vol 2 possible the group are raising funds via Indiegogo and have some amazing perks available, including signed albums, exclusive dubplates, photo books and screen prints.

So to help one of Colombia’s finest and most forward-thinking bands make a new record, as well as bag yourself some sweet treats, head over to Indiegogo right now. Here’s the link: indiegogo.com/projects/ondatropica-vol-2–3/
