PREMIÈRE: Eliane Correa & En El Aire Project Live In Buenos Aires

By 11 March, 2016

We are happy to bring to you a scintillating new version of “Veneno” from Eliane Correa & En El Aire Project‘s new album Rumba Con Flores. Correa is a pianist, bandleader and singer who has been making a name for herself in London’s Latin music scene thanks to her work with Wara and now with En El Aire Project, whose debut album was released on February 12th via Movimientos Records.

The album has been getting plaudits from the jazz and Latin communities in London and beyond, and this is surely set to continue. Rumba Con Flores is an accomplished mix of neo-soul, R&B and urban Latin music with the playing and harmonising highlighting true musical acumen.

“Veneno” is one of eight tracks featured on the album, but here in a live version, recorded in Buenos Aires, it takes off on a completely new trajectory, maintaining the beautiful vocal synthesis between Correa and Yasmeen Quintana at the start before then adding deep bass and electronic beats, marking a big change from the horns and percussion version featured on the album.
