The Sounds of South America’s Cities Become Music on ‘Remezcla Tu Ciudad’ Project

By 26 February, 2021

Beginning in Asunción, Paraguay, Remezcla Tu Ciudad is a series of residencies for sound artists, focused on recollecting and reutilising field recordings from the cities of residence. With the aim of continuing to depict the musical landscape of urban life in South America, they are looking to take over other capitals of the continent in the future.

For now, you can recall the experience in Asunción by listening to the tracks made by the likes of Villa Diamante (Argentina) and Le Parody (Spain), who were foreign guest curators, and local talent like Mar Perez, Lara Barreto and Juanjo Corbalán. Also you can download the sound samples collected on the city, all through the website of Remezcla Tu Ciudad.
