September has always been a bright month for me. Maybe it’s because July and August have a darker veil on them, and in September things start to get sunny and green again, announcing that summer is closing in. Maybe it’s because September is a big month for Trujillo, the city where I am from. Of course this September it’s very different from any I’ve lived before in my 30 years, but I’ve been feeling like we have all collectively decided to continue with our lives despite the death going on around us. We are only human, and there’s just so much time we can spend by ourselves, even when the results can be so damaging. September is a hopeful month, as the selection for this playlist is. We hope, wherever you are, you’re careful and hopeful, and that this playlist helps you to be so.
