Fémina Release First Track from Upcoming Quantic-Produced Album

By 18 October, 2018

We’ve made no secret of our love for Fémina, the Argentine trio who featured on our Que Canchero compilation and who we interviewed last year. There has been talk of their new album for some time, with additional excitement building from the fact that Quantic was set to be producing it. Well, we now have the first fruits of that collaboration, with “Brillando” being released as a single last week, with accompanying video.

Instantly, we can hear some of Quantic’s production values present in the track, with a deep bass line and twinkling synth lines throughout, upon which Fémina’s three vocalists take it in turns to offer up dreamy lyrics and harmonies. Whereas their earlier tracks found the group attacking the mic, with the clear influence of rap, here they dial it down somewhat, letting each word linger. Whereas they would often be accompanied by basic percussion, Quantic has overseen a complete refit of the rhythm section and this is getting us pretty excited about hearing the final album, of which no date yet has been announced for its release.

“Brillando” is available for download from Bandcamp
