NEW VIDEO: Masilva “Mototaxi Love”
17 July, 2013Peru’s Masilva showcase their spaced-out cumbia sound on new video “Mototaxi Love”, with the clip offering the viewer on that infamous “mototaxi of love” as it passes through Peru’s remarkable landscapes on a pseudo-psych voyage.
Masilva hail from Lima and so it’s really no surprise that guitar (the principle weapon of Peruvian cumbia) should feature strongly in the track, alongside keyboards, effects and drums. It’s just one side of Masilva’s sound, which can head into more traditional or electronic terrain at just a moment’s notice. Have a listen to their latest release Condor for a real overview of this group, and expect to hear lots more from them in the future.
