Trailer Released for Sabroso! A Road Trip to Colombia’s Caribbean Coast

Native Instruments are looking towards Latin America, producing a Caribbean Current expansion of their music production system, and also releasing a trailer for a new documentary about Colombia’s Caribbean music styles. We know very little about this project at the moment other than it focuses on champeta, the Afro-Colombian style at the heart of the soundsystems of Cartagena and Barranquilla on Colombia’s Caribbean coast, that it’s directed by Luis Antonio Delgado, and features Mauricio Alvarez (aka Cero39 aka La Blanquita Farm) and possibly our good friend Fabian Altahona of the Africolombia blog (we definitely spotted him in the trailer!)

We’re currently trying to find out some more. But in the meantime, check out the trailer for a little taster:
