Los Bitchos Drop Another Feel-Good Cumbia Bomb

By 18 October, 2019

Following on from their 7″ “Pista (Great Start)” London’s hottest new cumbia band, Los Bitchos, are back with another juicy instrumental nugget. Titled “The Link Is About To Die”, and featuring some fine tropicalised visuals – even including a fool-proof margherita recipe – the new track finds the group once more delving into the spirit of Peruvian cumbia.

With an irresistible beat, killer guitar hooks and a keytar adding flashes of colour, it’s another beautiful marriage of chicha swagger and indie-pop tunefulness. Taken from their session with Alex Kapranos (Franz Ferdinand) on production duties, it bodes well for their upcoming debut album, slated for release in early 2020.

In the meantime, Los Bitchos will be playing an assortment of UK and European shows including dates with Mac deMarco and Black Lips.
