PREMIÈRE: Locobeach Get Psycho-Tropical With ‘Dream Of The Bell Flower’

By 14 November, 2019

What a groove! We’re loving the latest video from Locobeach, a new supergroup who have just released their debut album.

“Dream Of The Bell Flower” is the first track on the album and it’s pretty special, a psychedelic tropical journey with relentless cumbia beat, ringing lead guitar and sweet percussive and synth embellishments across the whole track, which is a tour-de-force from start to finish.

Locobeach are comprised of an enviable NYC-based line-up including José Luis Pardo (Los Crema Paraiso, Los Amigos Invisibles) on guitars/vocals, Neil Ochoa (Chicha Libre, Los Crema Paraiso) on congas/percussion/electronics, Joshua Camp (Chicha Libre, C.A.M.P.O.S., One Ring Zero) on accordion/keyboards/vocals, Edward Marshall (La Muy Bestia Pop) on bass, and Fernando Valladares (Guaco) on timbales and drums. No wonder this one grooves so hard.

“Dream Of The Bell Flower” features on their debut record Psychedelic Disco Cumbia, available now on Dorsal Fin/Peace & Rhythm.

Locobeach will be getting things moving at Barbes in New York on Monday 18 November. Here’s the flyer:
