“Brazilian Guitar Fuzz Bananas – The Movie” needs you!

By 07 November, 2011

Following “Brazilian Guitar Fuzz Bananas – The CD” we now have word of a “Brazilian Guitar Fuzz Bananas – The Movie” in the making, which promises to be an enthusiastic trip through Brazilian music, with Joel Stones (owner of Tropicalia in Furs record shop in New York) leading the journey.

The only problem at the moment appears to be the lack of funds, but this could change in just a few days. The movie has set-up a Kickstarter campaign which hopes to raise $25,000 by Tuesday November 15th. At the moment they have $8,187 so there’s still some way to go. The idea for Brazilian Guitar Fuzz Bananas – The Movie began from the short film What Are Fuzz Bananas? This short goes behind the scenes for a making-of the compilation and pairs Joel with L.A. based producer Egon (Now-Again Records) and Tropicalia in Furs’ regular Elijah Wood before setting off to Brazil for short interviews with Marisa Rossi and Fabio. The response of the film was so great, that making a movie seemed a no-brainer. If you’d like to see What Are Fuzz Bananas? and whet your appetite for a full-blown feature, here you go:
