Colombia’s Salsa Orchestra Grupo Niche are Coming To London

By 01 May, 2014

There is just one day to go until Grupo Niche, one of Colombia’s finest salsa orchestras, comes to London. Grupo Niche started life in Bogotá in the late 70s, before moving to Cali and helping define the salsa sound in that city, a sound that has gone on to become “the” sound of Colombia salsa.

With their mixture of up-tempo salsas and romantic interludes, Grupo Niche are sure to get Brixton’s hips moving in this one-off concert, which also marks the end of this year’s La Linea Latin music festival. The group will be playing a mixture of classics and newer tracks, including some taken from their latest album, Tocando El Cielo Con Las Manos, an album which proves they’ve still got it!

Grupo Niche will be playing at Electric Brixton on Friday 1st May. You can find out more about the show at comono.co.uk/live/grupo-niche
