London Gets Remixed Across 4 Venues in 1 Night, Family Atlántica Continue Rise to Stardom

By | 21 November, 2013

The London Remixed Festival has become something of an institution in recent years, bringing together all the interesting strains of music that makes London’s nightlife tick. In that regard, it is as multicultural as London itself, and the best place to hear dub, rock, balkan, cumbia, afrobeat, funk, ethiojazz, reggae, electro, hip-hop, swing, etc., etc., under the auspices of just one night (even if that one night happens to be taking place in 4 venues and 7 (seven!) different stages.

This year’s event will be taking place across Village Underground, the Bedroom Bar, Rich Mix and Strongroom on Saturday 23rd November. More info at londonremixedfestival.com

With our “Latino” flag firmly planted and ready for action we are most definitely most excited about the shenanigans lined up at the Tropicarnival room in Rich Mix where there will be music from King Lagoon’s Flying Swordfish Dance Band, Orchestre Du Mont Plaisant, Flowsnatcha, Movimientos DJs and Family Atlántica. The last of these have been one of the sensations of the year since releasing their self-titled debut in March. Since then they have wowed crowds at WOMAD and other festivals across Europe, had Luzmira knocking out a crowd at the Royal Albert Hall, as well as many other deserved accolades. Definitely one to watch, but then so is so much of this London Remixed Festival 2013 line-up.

Here is that full line-up, with set times so you can plan your day accordingly.
