WOMEX Call for Artists, Films and Speakers Is Now Open

By | 17 March, 2015

The World Music Expo, otherwise known as WOMEX, recently launched a new call for proposals from musicians, film-makers and world music specialists/speakers who would like to appear at their forthcoming event in Budapest, Hungary (21st-25th October 2015).

WOMEX has become the most important event for the world music industry and represents a place where musicians from all over the world can find a global audience via meeting with record labels, representatives, booking agents, and the like. Similarly it’s also a great platform for showing films about music and for world music specialists to share their ideas.

Each year, the WOMEX Showcase, Conference and Film programme is created based on an annual call for proposals inviting artists, speakers and filmmakers to apply to take part. So, if you’d like to get involved please submit now. The deadline for submissions is Friday, 10 April 2015.
