NEW MUSIC: Andrés Digital and his Extraterrestrial Cumbia

By 06 October, 2014

Major cumbia champion and big name in the tropical bass scene Andrés Digital is back with a new release, this time featuring his Conjunto Extraterrestrial, which seems to us like an all-star list of digital cumbia players.

The new EP features four tracks, made in collaboration with Masilva, Longfingah, Mama Limon and Inti Irie which are remixed and revisioned by the likes of Chong X, Dany F, Los Reyes de la Milanga, Kinky Electric Noise and Lata into a total 14 tracks of high-energy cumbia, fusing the style with reggae, dancehall, 3ball and heavy beats as we’ve all come to expect from Señor Digital (whose Monthly Cumbia Round-up for Tropical Bass is an essential source of far-reaching and fascinating tunes).

Andrés Digital y su Conjunto Extraterrestrial is being released by Mexican label Tropic-All and is available from iTunes. Listen to the record below:
