The Original Sound of Cumbia London Launch Party on November 25th

By 21 November, 2011

The Original Sound of Cumbia is a new collection of original cumbias and porros from Soundway Records. It’s been lovingly compiled by Will “Quantic” Holland and will be officially released on 5th December. Before that though you can get a taster of those classic cumbias by attending this launch party on Friday November 25th.

Dancing Time With Soundway: The Original Sound of Cumbia London Launch Party – to give it it’s official title – will feature live DJ sets from Soundway’s Miles Cleret, Sofrito’s Frankie Francis and one special guest. Hmmm… I wonder who that could be!

The party will take place at Designers Block on 25th November, starting at 10pm. The DJs will be spinning a mix of rare and funky tropical grooves from around the world as well as an extremely rare, 78s only Colombian cumbia set from that special guest. Any closer to guessing who?

The first 50 tickets can be bought for the special early bird price of £6. Advance tickets after that will be £8 and £10 on the door.
