Trailer for Tropicália Documentary Released

A couple of years ago we interviewed Marcelo Machado and Paula Cosenza in London. Respectively they are the director and producer of Tropicália, a new documentary about this particular movement in Brazilian music which is finally set to see the light of day. Featuring the likes of Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Gal Costa, Arnaldo Baptista, Rita Lee and Tom Zé, among many others, the film will be the first full length documentary to focus on Tropicália.

The film had it’s first showing at the It’s All True documentary festival in Brazil earlier this year, and will get a general release in Brazil in September. There is no news on a UK showing yet, but hopefully it won’t be too far away! In the meantime though, here’s the trailer:
