Watch Chilean film “You Think You Are the Prettiest… (But You Are The Sluttiest)” online for free

By 20 September, 2011

One of the biggest underground smashes of recent years in Chile is currently streaming online for all to see. Che Sandoval’s You Think You Are the Prettiest… (But You Are The Sluttiest) hit the festival circuit in 2010 as well as appearing in just one cinema in Chile, yet it has become something of a hit amongst the people who saw it.

As well as being a cult smash, You Think You Are the Prettiest… (But You Are The Sluttiest) has also received a good critical reaction, receiving awards including Best Director, Best Script and Best Actor at the Cine B festival in 2009, before appearing at Bafici of Argentina, the Toulousse Film Festival and at various screenings in San Francisco.

The movie is currently available to watch at disorder.cl, complete with English subtitles. Just go to: disorder.cl/te-creis-la-mas-linda-pero-eris-la-mas-puta.

Here’s a little nugget from Variety’s review of the film:

The free-and-easy nature of young Chilean cinema receives its coolest calling card yet with Che Sandoval’s “You Think You’re the Prettiest (But You’re the Sluttiest).” The title more or less says it all, given pic’s combined concerns — young guys’ 24-7 obsessions with girls and sex, and their tendency toward verbal diarrhea — centering around one terribly flawed hero’s inability to land the ideal g.f. Nicely repping Santiago’s punk-tinged indie filmmaking tendencies.
