Acid House from Chileans Alejandro Paz and Roman

By 30 August, 2011

A new release from Discos Pegaos – the label ran by deMentira, one of our favourite producers who has put together two amazing mixtapes for us (Último Lugar and También se Habla) – featuring a collaboration between Alejandro Paz and Roman, both from Chile and therefore adding to an already glittering array of talent bursting out of Chile at the moment.

La Hora de Bailar is a house tune with sprinklings of Latin rhythms and acid vibes. It was put together by Alejandro Paz, a DJ and remixer currently living in Spain and half of Genéricos, and Roman, a producer/DJ who plays in the band MKRNI as well as releasing records on the Madhaus label.

Here’s how Disco Pegaos describe the gestation of the release:

Born in a jam session, “La hora de Bailar” shows us both artists creating his own version of the track, using sequences, voice sampling and diverse elements, all to bringing the song to each producer’s ground.
