The Remixes of Maga Bo
27 March, 2012Maga Bo is a DJ and producer based in Rio de Janeiro. He has worked with the likes of Mulatu Astatke, Marcelo Yuka, BNegão and Issa Bagayogo. Earlier this year he raised funds for a new project via Kickstarter. That project will be called Quilombo do Futuro and will feature original songs and remixes from Chancha Via Circuito, Poirier, Uproot Andy, Buguinha, DJ Dolores, Dr. Das, Munchi and Batida to name a few. Before that though Maga Bo has posted a few of his own remixes on Soundloud.
So here we have seven remixes from Maga Bo, with his versions of tracks by Bomba Estereo, Poirier feat. MC Zulu, Petrona Martinez, MC Cidinho, Sub Swara, Filastine and Blick Bassy feat. Lenine. Quilombo do Futuro will be out in April so keep your eyes peeled for that one.
