Roots of Chicha to be released on vinyl + new mixtape

Peruvian cumbia DJs rejoice! It has just been announced that Roots of Chicha will be released on vinyl by Barbés Records on July 19th.

The new vinyl release will be a gatefold double album, taking the best songs from Volume 1 and Volume 2 of the series, as well as coming with a 11×11 twenty page booklet.

Featured on the release will be tracks by Los Mirlos, Los Destellos, Juaneco y su Combo, Los Shapis and Ranil y su Conjunto Tropical to name just a few. Here’s the full tracklisting:
